.This comprehensive renovation showcases how to honour a home’s original character while redefining it for modern living. Taken back to its bones, the 372 sqm residence was reimagined with a more open, flowing internal layout, while cherished architectural details, such as existing brick chimneys and timber elements were carefully restored

The interiors now reflect a refined, contemporary aesthetic with extensive new cabinetry, stone benchtops and vanities, and custom furnishings, while a new fireplace, tongue–and–groove ceiling and ornate balustrading to the stairwell took a craftsman’s eye to replicate and tie seamlessly into the home’s heritage feel.

A complete exterior and interior repaint, utilising the original timber cladding added new life throughout the property.

Outside, the existing cabana was extended and paired with an insitu concrete fireplace, forming an inviting space to relax by the pool. A newly installed ha–ha subtly divides the lawn and pool area, preserving uninterrupted sightlines.

With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two living areas, two offices and additional games rooms for the children, this home provides spacious family living that feels as relevant today as when the home was first built.

This project demanded vision and craftsmanship, particularly with the delicate balancing act of structural change and preservation of the heritage elements.

The end result is a home that feels fresh and functional, while honouring it’s past.
